Infant Carriers offer a cocoon-like shell to keep babies snug inside the hard-wearing, shock absorbing materials of an infant carrier. Weight and height limits vary amongst brands but most infant carriers will keep even a high centile child safe and secure until around 1 year or beyond. Infant carriers are often lightweight and portable to enable quick entry to and from the car. It is best practice to take baby out of the infant carrier outside of the car except in the event of short trips.
